"Help One Student To Succeed"

The HOSTS reading program is having another successful year. The students are all making wonderful progress. I want to applaud the mentors who dedicate their time to working with the students one-on-one. The success of the students not only depends on the mentors, but also, the hard wok that the students are willing to give. It is very rewarding to watch students enjoy reading.

The HOSTS reading program received a mini grant from the Youth Advisory of the Community Foundation for Mason County The money will be used to buy new reading games, non-fiction books and mentor appreciation materials. Thank you YAC!!!

The students have been taking a book home almost every night. They are being very responsible by remembering to read and return the book the next day. Joey Blakley and Jacob Lange both read 30 books each. Way to Go!!!

There are always openings for substitute mentors if anyone is interested. Mentors are here on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday afternoons for half-hour sessions. The mentor times range from 12:10pm to 12:20.

If interested, please feel free to contact me
